A man was arrested in New Orleans on Monday (Dec. 5) and booked on federal charges that he produced child pornography and coerced minors to engage in sexual activity, the FBI said. Federal agents arrested Matthew Pere, 32, after what the FBI called "a lenghty investigation" by the bureau's Violent Crimes Against Children/Human Trafficking Task Force. Pere was taken to St. Bernard Parish Jail, the agency said in a press release. If convicted, he faces 15 to 30 years for the production of child pornography charges and 10 years to life for the coercion and enticement charges.
